OVERVIEW
This training aid comprises all the Choruses
and Chorales of Bach's Christmas Oratorio. They have an orchestral style accompaniment with the voice part
highlighted on piano. Remaining parts quieter on classical guitar as required.
We have included several Sample Downloads for your reference. It should be noted
that to limit the size of the download samples are lower quality than the CDs
that we produce.
We provide 6 CD's, one for each of the
separate voices highlighted, (Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass, and 2
accompaniment CDs: One with all the SATB parts highlighted with piano
and the instrumental accompaniment, and one with little and no help.
These latter two should help develop confidence, once your part has been
learned with the othe CD.s
Appendix to the recording. In addition there are
5 of the more difficult choruses at a slower tempo so that the faster notes can be
more easily identified. (This is in addition to them being provided at the
normal tempo). An example of this can be downloaded by clicking HERE the one file contains the same alto part,
first at the correct tempo then again at the slower tempo. (It is a section of
54 Chorus: Herr, Wenn Die Stolzen Feinde Schnauben).
